Melted my Heavy Duty F/R Switch
So, I've been gone for a while since I didn't have anything positive to contribute ever since I conquered the massive wheelies in my previous thread .
So, I melted my F/R switch and it was a heavy duty one. Anyone sell an extra beefy version of a heavy duty f/r switch? I read someone used a 36v switch but that involves changing parts around and stuff...just want plug 'n play if possible. If not I'll just get the same one and use it til it melts also but it didn't last very long! |

Re: Melted my Heavy Duty F/R Switch
sure, I can post tonight... it's the cable on the passenger's side attaching to the part that rotates... pic coming if that's confusing!

Not really, That connection is just too small. Bad design for lots of amps. Maybe a solenoid F&R is in your future?

Check with sponsors for ALBRIGHT numbers DC 182 ( BEST ) or SW182 which will fill your needs. They are made for HD F&R operation and are simple to wire in.

Re: Melted my Heavy Duty F/R Switch
This is it, right? It's a big one! So, I just add a separate switch in the dash for F/N/R and connect it to this mammoth?

Re: Melted my Heavy Duty F/R Switch
I don't want to throw stones, but the cable on the right looks like a very poor soldering job. If the same technique was used on the left side cable the switch itself MAY NOT BE THE PROBLEM.
