Shipping golf cart motor

i prefer DHL for large/heavy items. never had a problem, always on time or ahead of schedule, consistently cheaper, seem to be respectful of package contents. (unlike United Parcel Smashers)

I wouldn't mind if they just dropped everything...... but, they are consistently running over half of what the deliver

I work in the trucking industry and I can tell you, LTL, Less than truckload, is move that box into that trailer no matter how you get in there. Shipments that hit multiple terminals will be abused each time.
Truck load shipments are much different because you pick up at one location and deliver to one location. Shipper loads, receiver unloads. Any problems call the shipper. Of course there are ocassional problems from in route damage, but most of these are from shipper loading errors.
I have a life time supply of 1 gallon freezer bags and aluminum foil from receivers not accepting a load because there was damge to a box or two. I sold 1 gallon containers of water at a truck stop for 25 cents per gallon . Sold 500 gallons in a couple of hours.
All of these sales are not rippin anyone off. I call my company and explain situation and they tell me to take product to a dumpster somewhere, so I can get reloaded for next shipment.

just a little FYI while we're on the topic of shipping... if you are shipping something important &/or expensive and boxing the item yourself, make sure you review the shipper's requirements for box corrugation, packing foam thickness, tape, etc. these requirements often change with weight & the size of the box. "that looks about right" won't cut it if you have to make a insurance claim.

shipped stock 08 CC IQ motor today. Packed in a 12 x 12 x 18 box and lined the inner of box with 2' ply foam and filled the empty space with popcorn. Weighed 51 lbs. Cost to deliver to Ft. Mills, SC from S Florida, $38. Once I get it in my CC- priceless!

Easy, when I got my PDS bandit I just drove up there but I'm only a few hours away. I did however buy two other motors while I was there and just paid for the cores. At the time I think they were like $50 each but figured by the time I mailed back the ones they replaced I would just keep the old motors for spares. OR until I went up there again and needed more power

Anyway, you will enjoy that motor when you get it installed however you may have to go see your dentist to get the bugs out of your teeth from the grin.

Kg, I'm lol .... in that case, that'll be the only time I would look forward to going to the dentist. I'm counting down that days and hoping it'll do 26.
