what year models have the shunt motors.
I have contacted Alltrax in Australia,looking for a DCX 500 controller,
They tell me they will have to order it in,as they don't carry shunt motors,they have series DC or all going AC these days,all of my golfing buddies on east coast have shunt,is it because we all refurbished around the 2006 model golf cart.I will have to put up some pics next week.

All models listed below are 48Volt.... I am not including 36Volt models....

1995 - 2004 - Series (PowerDrive) = Series Motor (Blue Label Motor)

1996-1997 - Regen 1 (PowerDrive Plus) = Shunt Motor (Red Label Motor)

1998 - 2001 - Regen 2 (PowerDrive Plus) = Shunt Motor (Red Label Motor)

2002 - Present - IQ System = Shunt Motor = (Orange Label GE Motor or Black and grey ADC Motor)

2008 - Present - Excel System (Precedent Only) = Shunt Motor (Black and Grey ADC Motor.

Thanks for the reply,that has certainly cover my question,I have read a lot of your threads,between you and OLD MEC every question would be covered.You live in a great neck of the woods,I had a round of golf there last time I was over 99'.
