Re: Noob to carts, Bought 08 Precedent
Batteries and cables when extremely dirty can carry a surface charge.
This charge can end up being a path between POS and Neg leads , POS and Chassis ground ...etc. So when U see guys on here posting pictures of there batteries , it's to prove to us that they are clean and the cables are maintained. The TRUE pack voltage cannot be read until the battery pack has been sitting for 8-12 hours after charger has cut off . But all this being said , it looks like U may have fixed U'r own problem. Keep these maintained and clean, use only distilled water, make sure the results are repeatable and not just a fluke. NEXT. |

Re: Noob to carts, Bought 08 Precedent
When taking readings, do so after waitng at least an hour for pack to balance out. My own OBC-charger will bring pack voltage clear up to above 62 volts but after waitng period test shows 51 plus. Each OBC will give different results so dont worry about this until you get good batterys and they are broken in ( 30-100 discharge-charge cycles) Your bad battery is causing charger to try and bring pack up even and will over charge still good batterys and boil fluid badly and this is why we never recomemend replacing just one battery at a time because of the damage done to others.
You didnt say but has the weak battery come up any more than 10.7 volts? |

The conversion kit #AM1275201 and #103368401 comes from CC dealers only as far as I know. It does include a change of OBC but not controller, and batterys.
