Wakeboard style speakers
Planning on trying to get the cart to match the boat, has anyone tried wakeboard style speakers mounted to a roll bar / cage. I redid my boat speakers and have 4 pods that I could mount on a roll bar, similar to the wakeboard tower. Would really be set up to provide tunes to an area, not necessarily while you are riding, thoughts?

That's the wifes, not wine drinker, I do have a "bourbon" bush next to it now, with more "leaves" than hers

Yell
Some guys have used those small beer kegs you can buy to make speaker housing out of, looks kinda cool, but it may work for what you are trying to do. Not completely sure if that is what you are after, just and idea. |

Re: Wakeboard style speakers
If you look at the tower, there are four speakers mounted on them, in enclosures. I upgraded my speakers and have the old speakers and enclosures (Audioformz) ready to mount. I have the ones that are on the CanAm Commander, the solid yellow ones in the link (mine are white).

I have 2 Bazooka tubbies bolted to my uprights that hold the rear part of the top. Install turned out pretty good and it sounds AWESOME!
Also have an 10 inch Bazooka tube sub underneath between the seats above the axle. Pics attached. |

Re: Wakeboard style speakers
That looks great, was think about adding a bar between the rear roof supports and mounting all four. Where did you put your amp?

Re: Wakeboard style speakers
I was originally planning to put mine in the middle of the uprights too, but with passengers in the back I thought if they were in the middle they would be hitting their heads so I went with mounting them on the outside.
I have a Kenwood deck that is 50 watts x 4 so I do not have an amp at this time. My sub has a built in 200 watt amp and it does thump! Here is a pic of the stereo as well. By the way SWEET boat! |

Re: Wakeboard style speakers
Rinman, I keep going back and forth on a rear seat, it will never get used as a seat, but the cargo boxes look a little goofy, ideally I would like a little shorter cargo box, just going to be used to carry tools / chainsaws around the yard and cooler and drinks down to the dock. Would use the speakers to rock the fire pit at night. I have an extra amp left over from when I did the boat. I wasn't even going to put a head unit in, just an ipod / i-phone connection for Pandora.
Any suggestions on where to mount an amp, thought about attacking to the underside of the seat, woulld have to leave enough slack in speaker and power wires to flip seat, not on like when we fold down tower. How did you power your head unit? I really like the silver, if I wasn't going to paint it to match boat, that is what I would go with. |
