Installing club car computer
I have a 2001 Club Car and want to install a new computer. I would appreciate any tips or specific instructions from anyone with that experience.

Welcome to BGW!
Get the serial # off the old one and use it to get the correct replacement. |

Re: Installing club car computer
Thanks, scottyb for the reply. I have purchased the replacement unit. The serial number is 1019099-01 for the 2001 CC. I need help in details about actually installing it in the cart.

Re: Installing club car computer
Basically it's a box with wires..... Disconnect the battery main negative at the batteries and at the controller B-. Tag every wire you need to disconnect with tape and mark with pen. I suggest the half off half on method. The obc connects at the battery, the controller, the solenoid on some models, the controller, and the charge receptacle. Start removing the connections and the OBC at the rear of the cart. Mount the new obc when you disconnect from the controller and install the new unit. Now you can disconnect one wire and reconnect the new one. Everybody has their own way but for your first one it is best if you don't get too many loose wires all at once, if you know what i mean.... Hope this helps
