Question 2000 project begins need input

Just picked up a 2000 # A0005-xxxxxx

It is 48 V and has headlights (no tail lights), does the fact it have headlights mean it's a different model than the base?

It runs great but real slow like 12mph.

I suppose the motor needs a swap/rebuilt.

The plastic roof is badly damaged, needs replacement, I was thinking of perhaps fabricating a wood replacement the vertical posts are good and the windshield is in need of replacement.

I'm going to be putting a solar panel on top anyway so I can at the same time make it a bit longer.

Anyone build a replacement roof?

I'll start taking pics soon.

Quick plans are 12" wheels 22-23" tires

4" lift A arms

New seats.

The only question you asked was if anyone had built a replacement roof . . . my guess is the answer is "no" . . .

I would say that someone probably had lights installed or installed them themselves . . . typical light kits have both headlights and tail lights . . so I would say that it is a base model with added on headlights . . just my guess . .
