Yup, technically is not dot work better. Its the advantages of simplicity and ease of use, and not worrying about dirt getting into the contacts that i am after.

I'm considering fabbing up a steering column mounted lever and a long rod to the dash-mounted selector switch. Make it sorta like the shifter on a car. Then, I wouldn't have to lean all the way forward to flip that switch.

How decadent/lazy can I get? <<grin>>
