Re: Cart sluggish/ black wire very hot
Thanks johnnieB, I'll try and post some pics tonight. I am going to replace all wiring with #2 welding cable to be on the safe side. I have a friend who can get plenty of this, I am also going with the closed lugs soldered inside the lug to prevent/slow down the corrosion effect. But I still am not sure what size controller I have. There are no indications/markings on the controller. But I also do not have the trained eye you do. Now if you ever need a bridge built I can help you there. Highway bridge building is where my expertise lies. Let me know if I can help you. LOL

Re: Cart sluggish/ black wire very hot
If you make your own cables, be sure and get a high quality heat-shrink to seal the cable/lug connection. I don't know what it's called, but the kind I used has a heat softened "goo" that makes for an air tight seal.

The simplest way is to save the picture as a .jpg file that is less than 1.91 MB (Max width & height = 2048 x 1048 pixels) and attach it to the post.
To attach it, click on the paperclip to the right of the smiley-face on the tool bar of the window for composing your post and follow the directions on the drop-down menu. |
