Re: No power thru solenoid
I tested both of them and they both have three prongs on them hooked the power wire up on the same prong that had power going to it

Re: No power thru solenoid
Ok. you may have done this already. Take both small wires off the solenoid and hook your tester up to them. Then with key on, the f&R switch in F and throttle depressed, see if you have a full 36volts comming from those two unhooked wires.

Re: No power thru solenoid
Checked those wires and have 36 volts coming in from throttle peddle micro and any where between 22 and 36 volts and sometimes nothing coming from key switch never could get a constant on that one

Re: No power thru solenoid
OK.. Unhook the main battery positive to the f&R so you don't run over yourself by accident. After that..While you have those 2 small wires off the soleniod, make 2 wires to jump the solenoid with to test it. It can be speaker wire. Take the wires and attach one of the ends to the small poles on the soleniod,. hook the other end to the 36 volt battery pack main + and main - poles and see if you can make it work with your pack.

Re: No power thru solenoid
Well Ok..I guess my question is now did you make The soleniod click? ...... Did it make the click noise?? ..... CLICK? .... Reverse while in forward?? The cart is unsafe to run with a jumper wire, It could run away from you and kill......I bet you have a bad micro switch. If you took the parts out of a marathon you should use the wire diagram for the cart the parts came from. I am not sure if that wire diagram is the correct one for your cart??. You can google for the wire diagram yourself or find it here somewhere. Swap the micros with one of the other carts. Look at the markings on the switches NC. NO and C... normally closed, normally open and common. The micros will make a clicking noise when pressed if the contacts are good but it is best to test them with a meter before you install them into the cart. Please do this work with the battery pack positive + disconnected for safety until you are ready to test the cart. Please make sure all your connections are correct before connecting the main positive to the pack. The Micros Fry Instantly if wired to short out.

Re: No power thru solenoid
Go to the thread ezgo electric, stickys, ezgo resister cart and see if that schematic is the donor cart.......... Or you could just hook the battery pack to a switch and wire from the switch directly to the motor. You wouldn't have any throttle and it would only go in one direction but it would get you around the house. Cheers!
