Default Any Ideas On How To Lock Down The Seat?

During the summer my '07 TXT is stored during the week in a public parking lot at lake marina with about 40 other carts. Last year we were spared any vandals and theives but I think it is just a matter of time until they strike. My concern is thieves going after the batteries or cables so I would like to add a seat lock.

Has anyone done this?

This was done so cart could be transported on a trailer backwards without having seat fly off, but it might make a lazy thief move on to easier pickin's.

I found that on youtube. Looks good as long as the thieves don't know what the knob does. Perhaps locating the knob in a more descrete area, like under the floor or in a wheel well? Or maybe in the bag well or under the flip seat? I also tow my cart backwards and a latch would emliminate one ratchet strap. I have one of those latches on my garage door that I never use. The downside might be making it difficult to remove the seat to do things like checking the battery water.

My bright idea is a hood catch set from an XJ. There is a catch at both sides of the hood. A release cable could be hidden practically anywhere.
