The most common failure that causes "limp mode" (50% power) is the speed sensor not working.
You can just push the cart by hand and it should engage the motor and resist being pushed (buzzer will also sound after a few seconds of pushing the cart by hand). If the speed sensor is working, the other possible but less common cause is a "Welded Solenoid" contact. |

I fought with a very similar problem last Summer. Mine was caused by aftermarket lighting (LEDs). It would only do this when I had the lights on. The dealer had wired my lights to 16v, two batteries. After switching to a 48v to 12v converter, and using all of the batteries, and the correct ground wire, my problem was solved. Maybe this will help?

After reading more I decided to try and change the speed control sensor from a local club car dealer. :That fixed the problem.
