I don't want to offend anyone's choice of motors but before you buy, it would be prudent to shop around. As with any part. I have found that very similar motors, built by different companies, can result in very different prices.
Additionally, you may be able to save a few dollars by having your own motor rebuilt to your specifications.

Definitely shop around.

FWIW,
I did some pretty extensive searching and found no other motor that delivered these RPMs. Not sayin' they don't exist, but for me, I just wanted speed, not torque.

RPM vs. Hp is something to consider. If you have a bunch of steep hills, bigger tires, heavy load, etc., you may find, under certain conditions, that a lower RPM motor with more Hp will blow past a faster RPM motor with lower Hp. I probably could have built a spreadsheet and tried to make certain assumptions to account for this, but I just went with the highest RPM motor I could find.

I did email several folks and not all were as responsive. In fact, one of the more highly rated firms didn't even respond until after I had made the purchase. Some are better on old fashioned telephones than on this new-fangled inter-web.

Just Purchased the Raptor motor myself. It seems to be the best option to get my 36V TXT to get closer to 25mph. (I also just purchased the 500A controller, 2g Cables, and HD FR switch).

Question for you, Yurtle, what type of terrain are you on? I live in Florida so its flat. But, I do have a bridge to climb to get to the beach. I'm curious if you've ever been on any incline with your cart, and how it responded.
