How to get wire to back of steering wheel?

he wants to use his horn button .. wireless would require a transmitter in the horn button.. no room

If you search some you can find all kinds. A little fabricating and you can have the button in the steering wheel.

I've seen that wireless golf cart light kit but have been scared to buy one. I don't want to be the guinea pig here.

I don't know exactly how to do it but take a look at trim buttons for a boat. Some of those have a coiled lead that wraps around the steering wheel shaft. A boat steering wheel does not typically make several revolutions though.
