Default Re: 91 Marathon controller cart won't move F/R

Thanks Guys,
I used a longer bolt finger tight pulled the plate up and inserted 1 screw and it all fell into place, put the motor together and continuity tested it no short between S1 & S2, pull the motor apart again S2 terminal wires snapped of terminal, heat it up reconnected wire tested continuity again bingo all's well, put a jumper wire between A2 & A1, connected battery jumper leads between S2 & S1 ( i think) and away went the motor, refitted the motor to cart turned key place in forward and away we go, not bad for an amateur paid $101 for cart with no key or batteries, had 3 spare batteries & was given 3 T125's charged them all up & I now have a cart that goes, I can now move it into the garage and fix all the light wiring up, pictures will follow thank you for all your help
Cheers
Laurie

I meant the wooden skewers used for Fondue Bourguignonne, Shish Kebab and other meat/veggie combos cooked on a stick, but chopsticks would do the job also.

In fact, chopsticks would probably work better for lining up motor mounting holes since they are closer in thickness to the diameter of the mounting holes.

Just about anything soft enough not to damage the threads, small enough to fit through the holes and stiff enough to keep them aligned while assembling will work.

I suspect you've figured out that you should use two wrenches on the motor studs to keep them from turning inside the case.

Glad to hear you got in moving.
