Sportcoupe showed me a cheap way to fix them too. Pull apart the mechanism (came from board). Bead blast the assembly. Clean the shaft coming from the cam, grease her up, dielectric grease between the contacts and you will be rocking and rolling for a long time. Pay attention to how tight you tighten the rear bolt as well. There is a sweet spot between too tight and too loose to make a good connection. Hope this helps.

I have Scotty's Super Duty on my TXT. One of the nicer upgrades that I've done. A simple little click (well...two clicks, one to go to neutral, then the second to go to either F or R) and that's it....your there. No more struggle...no more of my wife asking me if I broke the cart...no more of anything but the sweet sound of "click" and then I'm on my way with no smell of overheated switch connections.
It's just like hitting the lottery for millions and millions.....except completely different. Dave |
