Re: Need a rear flip-seat for 08 precedent. What are good models?
Found the deep cargo bed model. It is a custom kit made by capitol golf carts. More than twice the price of the one mentioned above...can't afford nor justify that kind of cost. So I ordered the one from the sponsored site.
Thanks for all of your help, guys! And HAPPY CARTING!!! |

Re: Need a rear flip-seat for 08 precedent. What are good models?
Got the kit today, and it fits well, and is sturdy, but the instructions left much to be desired....
Regardless, got it installed, used the crap out of it, and hauled 400 lbs of people on the back through mud and muck, with no problems. So, satisfied with the kit. It was delivered just before dark so I had to install it in the dark. But we immediately used it to haul family out to a bonfire out in the outback, so it seems to be working well... |

Re: Need a rear flip-seat for 08 precedent. What are good models?
OK, this thing has paid itself off ALREADY!!!
Not only does it haul people, it is a great location for a tow-hitch, and tows dead (Kawasaki) mules out of the pasture, and is a very firm and sturdy setup. I even hauled two heavy-ish relatives on it, for a total of probably 500 lbs of "cargo" on the seats. No problems... |

It is the site-sponsor. The instructions are decent for setting up the frame, but be prepared to figure out how to attach the seat on your own. I used 3/4" wood screws to attach it. The seat is attached to a piece of flat plastic with a hinge (the "bed"), so I just sunk a bunch of wood screws into it to hold it in place. But the framing is SOLID! Plus I ended up with a bag of hardware (nuts, bolts, washers) that did not go with the kit. And I had to find my own wood screws to install the bed. If you have ever erected a piece of Ikea furniture, then this will be no problem for you! |

The Madjax Version allows the use of the Foldable Cargo Box, which is a fence system that folds out on the flat deck. They work pretty well.
We normally use the Custom Golf seats on our refubs, but they don't offer that cargo box option. |

I put a lot of madjax on.they all have pros and cons.made in china, you can get the arm rests with drink holder, make sure your seat goes up and down before drilling or you will be drilling again most likely.... just make it work

Re: Need a rear flip-seat for 08 precedent. What are good models?
Since it came with no instructions about how to install the seat, only the frame. And no hardware for the seat...
I used wood screws almost as long at the bottom material is thick, to hold the seat and bed down. One thing I like is that the bed material is thick PVC, not metal, so it is quieter. I opened it up flat, and sprayed a layer of contact cement on it, and put down a layer of camo outdoor carpet, so there will be less sliding around and a little sound dampener if/when the seat bounces when we hit big bumps. I also drilled two holes in the foot rest frame and installed a u-bolt for towing. |
