Multi-Step Pot rebuild?
48 volt with the resistors on the right side. So multi step pot. The contacts are a mess, top pitted bottom worn down and a peek in the middle. Is there a rebuild kit? or do I need to buy v glide switch case, vglide wiper brush and any resistors that are bad. What else?

There's not a rebuild kit. You'll have to replace each piece that you need individually. The copper contacts don't appear to be available separately based on the book that I'm looking at. I never actually took the time to rebuild one. The AM293201 Pre-Mcor to MCOR4 conversion kit would be another option if you don't want to spend all that time and money on the Multi-Step Potentiometer. It includes everything you'd need to convert it over to an MCOR4.

The conversion sounds like the ticket. This is a custom cart was built in the mid 90s I can't see the serial number due to interior mods. It has a mustang body. 48 volts, axe 400 amp controller, #2 cables, heavy duty F&R switch.
The pot does not have a plug , wires are crimp connected. [IMG]  [/IMG]Kind of a mess, would love to upgrade the harness to the plugs as I go. IF the kit will work. I'll try and get to the ser number tomorrow. [IMG]  [/IMG] |

Well took more like a couple months before I saw this cart again. Owner took the cart to a dealer had the controller replaced. Pretty nice cart.
