99 DS New Batteries Low Speed Help
I have a DS cart with a controller. I just bought new batteries today and took it for a spin. Very slow going up hill. It has been sitting for a year prior to replacing the batteries. It is mainly used at the coast and does have a bit of corrosion . It was slow prior to replacing the batteries but they were very old(2006 ). I am currently charging the new batteries for the first time. Cables are OK. Cleaned them up and appear to be good. What I do see is the connections to the motor are pretty rusted. To the point that I feel that if I try to remove the nuts that I might break off the studs. I do not know how the studs out of the motor are mounted/installed and do not want to break them off. This looks like where I do not have a good connection. Any advice as to how to deal with the motor connections? I am going to check the multi step potentiometer tomorrow, as I read a bit on this.
Thanks Gris |

Spray PB blaster on those studs, let it stay a few days. Always use two wrenches on the motor studs.

Thanks. Two wrenches makes sense. Do you know if they are replaceable ?

They can be replaced, usually by a motor repair shop.
