Default Re: gear lash noise. Again.is it normal- or all Quiet

Bob,

Sorry I took so long, I checked my cart a few minutes ago.

Cart on ground moving it back and forward, very very slight sound when my ear down near the read end.

Jacked up rear of cart, turning wheel back and forward a little slack maybe a inch or so turn and I can hear a little clunk sound when I change direction.

Cart on ground, put it in forward, press go pedal no sound that I can hear.

Stop, put cart in rev, press go pedal no sound that I can hear.

Maybe if I put my ear down near the rear axle I might could hear it when I change direction.

Sure hope this gives you something to reference from.

yes this definitely helps Mr golf if the cart is in the grass ,spend most of their time there.Idon't hear it either f-or rev ....it is A slight noise audible mostly when you pour the gas[electricity] etc to it. on pavement---- it multiplies the sound up abit.......to a clunk.......as it takes off.I owe ya one somewhere. if i can help you in anyway let me know. thank you for your time spent on this with me sir cheers bob s

stil believe that can be repaired at least ..changed for pitch of the clunk. but i am building a 55 chevy this winter, and getting my 32 ford cpe out of the garage after 10 years in hiding. , so my new grandson can get a ride, this weekend , bob
