Default Tire rotation...Which way is best?

I have owned an 07 Drive for a year and its time to rotate the tires. It's got some expensive wheels and tires so I want to make them last. I've always just took front tires straight to the back and vice versa. A friend says to rotate in an X pattern. The Drives do toe in a little in the front

Which way is best?

I have always done it just the way my dad taught me rear straight forward, front swap sides when going to rear.

I think that is a great way and all tires will eventually be on a different axle for tire wear.

Well it all depends what wheels/rims you have as to where you are going to move the tires/ Some wheels can not be moved to the other side

Right, directional treads like dirt devils must stay on the same side.

Directional tires typically have an arrow pointing in the direction that they are designed to spin to channel rain water out. The other direction, they channel water IN, hydroplane city.

Even more so with mudders. The cleats must be self-cleaning.

If your running directional tires then the only obvious way is to keep them on the same side unless you feel like dismounting them or spend the $$ and take them and have them done. The campground speed limit is 5 mph where our camper and my cart is so i'm not worried about the hydroplaning.
