what is the length of cable from the frame mount bracket to the brake arm. (that's my own special terminology but I think you know what I mean.) Should only be about 4-5 I think??? As you can see in the pics above, going to a 4 leaf spring was enough to drive me nuts. Still not "fixed"...just rigged. Hopefully the lift goes on in a week or so and I don't have to worry about it any more.

I don't know what difference it would make but your spring clamp that the u-bolt
goes thru is different from the one in this 1995-1996 service manual on page 18-5. It shows the clamp and shock mount as being part of the engine cradle. I can't see yours completely but the clamp looks like a separate piece. Also the service manual only speaks of a mono-spring as a replacement procedure.

I don't know if any of this matters, I thought I would through it out because it looks different to me.

Another I don't know if it matters comment. Car parts plus does not list 4 leaf springs for the DS only 2 leaf. The 4 leaf springs he has are for Precedents.
