Heavy duty spring question
I just put a jakes 6" lift and 22" tires on my 05 Precedent and want to beef up the suspension. I am a big guy and with another passenger and gear she sags a bit. Would like some advice from the experts here.

Re: Heavy duty spring question
Your factory spring should be a 1 leaf. They make heavy duty leaf springs in 2 and 3 leafs.

Re: Heavy duty spring question
I have the 3 leaf units with a 6 inch lift, and it rides like a Ford F600 dump. Go with the 2 leaf setup unless you intend put put a lot of weight on it, IMO.

Re: Heavy duty spring question
Look for the "Dual Action" springs. For example: http://www.buggiesunlimited.com/product.asp?sku=7971
They'll have the rate of the stock springs till it's loaded enough to get into the helper leaf. Adds weight carrying ability without riding like the previously mentioned dump truck. |

Re: Heavy duty spring question
I wouldn't order from BU. Several of the site sponsors carry them. I got mine from Jason's for less. Please support the sponsors.
