2003 lift kit ?
ok i have a stock 03 cc ds with 10 in wheels, they rub on the air intake a tad, thinking a 3 in jakes will resolve this. the driverside tire rubs only on sharp left turns, i dont want a tall 6 in and the expense of wheels and tires. any suggestions? but i did paint it a nice green and new seats...

Re: 2003 lift kit ?
It's not so much the wheel diameter as the tire diameter that matters. For instance a 205/50-10 will have about the same outside diameter as the stock tire and wheel combination. We commonly do 22" tires on Club Cars with a 3" lift. It's close, and sometimes takes a little fine tuning on the alignment to clear the air box. Anything less than 22" tires should clear just fine as long as you don't have some outrageous offset in the wheels.

Re: 2003 lift kit ?
I had the same problem when I added 1" spacers to my 07 DS, and yes, the Jakes 3" will resolve that! (did it)
Had I known about the Jake's extension kit, (moves the front end forward 1") I probably would have tried that first before lifting it, and buying 25" tires to fill the wheel wells! Here's the extension kit: http://www.everythingcarts.com/p-367...-ds-97-up.aspx |
