Default RXV Wiring

I am about to install a LED light bar and battery meter on a 2010 RXV. I see that there are a few extra unconnected wires in the dash and that here is a wiring channel from the front to the battery compartment. First question, anyone know what the extra wires are for? Second, is there enough room to fish cables through the wiring channel? Thanks!

Don't mess with those wires. You can remove the floor mat and run your wires thru that channel.

Also remove the cup holder that will help.

So did you connect the light directly to the battery or what? I'm trying to connect a pair myself. TIA!

I did install a separate switch to turn the reducer on and off.

Have you considered using a Wireless Control On/Off type setup?? There are many versions.
Such as http://www.genssi.com/index.php/rm01...ol-on-off.html

I apologize upfront for my ignorance, but where is the reducer located on an RXV? Or is that something I'd need to buy to install? If I have to buy, where did you buy yours? TIA!
