Default Tightening Shocks on a Club Car DS

Hello,

I added a small lift (shackles/1" block) to my DS. That necessitated shocks or shock extenders. I opted for new shocks... and I'm wondering if there are guidelines for how tight to crank down on those nuts? I ask because tightening the top nut effectively stretches out the shock, and I don't wan tot over stretch.

Thanks

nnmsgst,
Here is the rule of thumb that I have always used for all shock absorbers for any type of car truck or golf car.

Tighten the nut until the rubber bushings are squeezed to just under the diameter of the metal cups.
