Default no negative from contoller 2007 "the drive"

no negative from controller pin 3 solenoid wont clik +ok on solenoid

- not there... 2007 yamaha pedal switch ok suspect bad controller?

If tow/run switch is powered & good, battery voltage not too low (below 45v), no click ( negative to contactor) when switching to "run" = Bad controller.

Might also check for a broken black wire at speed sensor.

i disconnected speed sensor still same problem

is the throttle position sensor a regular 0-5k pot?

Nope, 0-5v. And sensor cannot be checked with ohm meter, volts only.

Non contact potentiometer. Inside the sensor lives a Hall-effect sensor, and a magnet that rotates nearer or farther from the sensor as the pedal rotates. At rest signal will be around 0.4v, full throttle will be around 4.8v.

if this item is bad could it cause a no negative voltage out from controller (pin3)

(my current problem) I want to eliminate as much as possible before

buying new controller......
