Re: Has anyone else had issues with the Doubletake rear seats??
From the pictures, the way it failed, it really looks like it was overloaded. The way that bracket is supported at the bagwell and the way the seat tray is, it would be really hard to do that to it. Does he have the hitch? If so look for stress on the frame under the rear floorboard. Probably won't be able to see anything but if that frame is bent, He was trying to to something he shouldn't have. It's golf cart not a truck.

I've installed five of them over the last two years and no comebacks.

Re: Has anyone else had issues with the Doubletake rear seats??
I have the Club Car branded version on my cart and this had me go look at it today. I stand by what I said that they tried to pull something. Any pictures of the deck, bottom of the seat where the support frame that bolts to the bagwell and the bottom of the seat tray? How about the back of the deck or the rear grab bar.

I have the Max5 on mine with no problems and I’m no tiny guy or are my friends and family that sit back there.

Sorry guys I've been out of town and just now check back on this thread...here are some pics of the broken kit and the underside of the back well. We've already installed another Max 5 kit on the cart so it may be hard to see where it broke from the bag well. After reading all your comments and consulting with the customer I'm inclined to believe it was indeed user error and it was possibly overloaded and/or doing something that they weren't suppose to be. |
