Looking for Yamaha G8E part
I'm looking for the rear suspension bar, Yamaha part #JF3-F2110-00-00.
Mine is rusted in pieces on a cart of mine. Anyone have a used one they can pull off? Is it interchangeable with other models? (Part #1 in the attached picture) |

Re: Looking for Yamaha G8E part
Guess this is my basket case now, thanks Luke! Nice to finally meet you anyway :)
No worries, I picked up a 10' piece of heavy 1 1/4 tubing on my way home. This stuff is WAY thicker than the OEM tubing. Stay tuned! This one should be fun |

Man- I’m excited to see what the cart turns into. Nice meeting you too! How about a build thread?

Re: Looking for Yamaha G8E part
Well... when I get a chance to start looking at it I'll assess the box of parts you gave me with it, and see if my 48v motor will fit. If so, it will be largely uneventful. Just repair some rust, and make it work like it should again.
If that proves to be too expensive and thus cost prohibitive, fabrication is cheap and fun. In which case itll get one of these. Then I may document for fun because itll be a cheap build and the entire engine kit costs less than batteries alone. :) I've had a couple big go-karts with this motor that would run around 35mph and they didnt weigh any less than this golf cart does! https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F370535717567 |

Re: Looking for Yamaha G8E part
Looks much better in your pic, you're right those seats did get super dirty fast!
I'll post some pics here as I progress. Gonna paint the top and brackets on my G9 black tonight, the white top looks awfully goofy. Then I need to replace a water pump gasket and timing chain tensioner gasket in my honda Rubicon. Then I have some work to do on the red 4wheeler that I'm selling. And need to rebuild my kids Suzuki LT80 (parts will be here tomorrow FedEx). And finally once all that is done I'll have a chance to start on this :) probably next week or next weekend, but its sitting outside patiently waiting to come in and join all of its little friends. Be a lot easier once the red ATV is gone and I have some room to work :) shop is a little full at the moment... |

Re: Looking for Yamaha G8E part
Just an update, and a confirmation. Club car 48v motor DOES fit perfect in the G8 rear end. Actually the CC rear end looks almost identical so they're probably the samething, if not very close to it.
I'm excited... I've been tripping over this stupid axle since I sold my DS over a year ago. Finally found a use for at least part of it! Now just need to decide if its better to go with a club car wiper switch a f curtis controller or make the Yamaha electronics work. Time to do some research |

Re: Looking for Yamaha G8E part
Yamaha built axle, not same as club car, but does accept same motors. Yamaha stock controller won't work at 48v, and 48v motor will perform poorly on 36v.

Re: Looking for Yamaha G8E part
Good info thank you. Saved me some time and probably smoke! Guess ill be getting an alltrax controller and just scrap the yamaha ones. I'd assume motor to controller connections would remain the same as if it were a Yamaha motor?
The axles side by side look *very* close, even diff is shaped the same. Vent is in a different location and possibly the perches for the leaf springs, but they're close still. I would assume biggest difference is in gearing? Would the CC or yamaha axle be better than the other? |
