I guess I mispoke about the "series".

Walter, I have a DS. Is the test the same for the controller?

Fan4 - Yeah I just cant stomach the idea of having 750.00 in 6 8v batteies for the conversion so hopefully when I do some more testing if it is one battery I can just replace that one. They are a generic black battery but I was told when I bought them they were "US Battery". I sould have just bought Trojans at the time.

Test results. (Done with solenoid NOT jumped)

Both small terminals - .5v resting 55.9v pedaled
Blue wire closest to red main and batt grd. - 56v resting and 57v pedaled
Blue / White closest to yellow main - 56v resting 0.01 pedaled
Jumpered green / blue at mcor runs then stops (same)
Checked each batt at run and none drop below 12.5
When acting up i checked voltage at solenoid smalls 55.9
If i let it sit for a couple minutes and then throttle it, (on stands) it runs and i can modulate the 4 speeds but as soon as i lightly load it with the brake it shuts down

Frustrating....

By the way I assume this has some sort of differential (watching only one tire getting fully driven

So if you probe only the 2 small terminals with the cart in Run, key on, and Go Pedal slightly depressed, what do you get? And if the cart quits, can you get the same voltage??

You red should be on the one with the light blue wire and the black should be on the one with the blue/white wire.

Durney, All of those voltages looks good. Now do the check Nole suggested and see if the stay or go away when it quits.

What kind of voltage do you measure across the big terminals on the solenoid? In standby and run.

56v on smalls (connected per you) and yes it drops out when it fails. Same with large terminals.

On stands it seems to run right up to speed until I put a load on with the brake, then it shuts down.
