I would strongly recommend changing the design to what I indicated, it is really simple since the connections are 1 inch apart and it would make the design compatible with any kind of Reversing contactor used, including the ones with magnetic blowouts.

Very nice instructive post. Pictures always help when triying to visualize installs.
This will help a lot of members since it seems many of us end up doing this upgrade for one reason or another.
Nicely done👍

Can you upload some pictures of the final assembly? I am about to do the same upgrade and cannot find many clear directions out there.

Thank You

I am also wondering about fuses. On the Alltrax diagram I received, there are two of them. The ANN250 on the battery pack. Then the one between the key and battery pack. It says VDC 60v - is this just a normal ATC blade fuse, and I don't know the amps it should be- it says 60v, but what is the AMP rating for this fuse.

Any help is much appreciated

here is the diagram with fuses marked

here is the full diagram

This is a great thread, told me exactly what I wanted to know. I have a HD f/r switch so it's a tad different but not really:

F/R A to B+ controller
B+ controller to Sol +
Sol + to pack +
B- controller to pack - (with fuse)

Many thanks for setting this up!

I need some assistance with the key as I am in the final stages of my build (https://buggiesgonewild.com/showthre...=152638&page=3)

I have completed all connections BUT the key. I know that the key will have a pos to the solenoid & neg to - pack .

Am I correct in stating that the green wire connects to I on the switch, which is also my pos connection back to the solenoid.

Just want to be sure... Thank you!

Andy4639, what kind of wiring diagram is that has a battery inline with the FNR and no solenoid?
