Shorted Solenoid in 1992 Club Car DS
While driving, I had a loose nut drop into the solenoid and short out the large "white" F/R and small green connections. The nut was actually fused in there a bit and I had to tap it free with a screw driver and mallet.
Now the solenoid doesn't click and the cart doesn't move at all. Charger works and lights work. 1992 Club Car DS 36v. v-Glide controller Much appreciated for any help. |

More than likely the solenoid activation coil got shorted out. With the rear of the cart up on jack stands, a main battery cable disconnected, and the key off, remove one of the large cables on the solenoid, place it on the other lug with the other cable, and tighten down the nut. If the cart operates, replace the solenoid. Get a quality, OEM one here: https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/solenoids?page=2 |

The motor controller is probably smoked.
They are not forgiving at all with that kind of mishap. |
