Default 02 txt 400 amp solenoid

In the process of upgrading controller and motor. Figured i'd do solenoid and switch also. Just want to verify that my diagram is correct for solenoid. Any input would be appreciated before i start tightening everything down. Thanks.

The solenoid you show has no polarity mandate. That means the small + and - can go on either side and the same is true for the big cables. Also the big cable location has no bearing upon the small wire + and - location.

Ok. So does that mean the diode can go on either direction? Thanks for the reply.

No.

The banded end has to face the small terminals with the red wires on it. Neither the solenoid coil or contacts are polarized, but the diode is.

The diode is correctly installed in the picture.

Do you need to install the resistor and diode? Also can you switch the RXV stock resistor wires? current configuration will not reach the new solenoid location. Thanjs
