Speed upgrade
Hello all, I recently purchased a 2017 ezgo rxv. The cart was set for “freedom mode”, I have been told you can program it to go faster. Any recommendations for programmers in IN? I have heard Bob Boyce is the best, but I am not sure about his IN rotation. Hoping to have it faster by summer. Any other recommendations is appreciated.
Thanks, A |

Re: Speed upgrade
What speed do you expect? With taller tyres you can win some additional mph, up to 20.5" in diameter it's uncritical for the motor/controller.

Re: Speed upgrade
With 20.5” tires you can get 30+. You will need someone with a developer level cable and laptop to get you there.

Re: Speed upgrade
Love the idea to go 30+, but... that can be very dangerous! No helmet, no seat belts and only breaking the rear weels. Remember, it's a cart, designed for usual speeds on the golf course. But as said, nice idea

Re: Speed upgrade
Just meant it is possible. Up to the person driving to determine how to use it. Most folks just set it to around 25mph.

Re: Speed upgrade
Yes, right. And if you can go that fast, it's not a must, to do it all the time.

Re: Speed upgrade
Thank you for the replies. I am looking for a programmer like Bob Boyce. Who is located in Indiana. My friend said he stopped through Indiana last year and adjusted his cart to go 33 mph with 14” tires.

Stock tires are 18" in diameter. The motor would be spinning at about 13,500RPM at 33MPH on 14" tall tires. |
