Default gas club car oil

hello guys i really have no clue what oil to use i live in south florida so it does not get very cold and gets very hot! its a 1987 club car with a kf82 341cc engine could you help me out

i use 30 weight WD40.

These older motors were designed to use the old single weight oils like 30w or 40w .... 30w should be fine, if you use the newer multi-viscosity oils (like a 10w-40) you may find it burns some oil....

Old post but if I dont use straight 30 or 40 weight and go to synthetic, do you think it will burn oil still? Id rather use synthetic if it will work

older engines were designed for older single weight large molecule oils of yesterday. Todays engineered oils with their fine clinging molecules may provide plenty of protection but may not fill the tolerences of the old motors design. I would stick to 30w and change it often if you want more protection.

Mobil 1 has 30w in synthetic!

No... no... no... SAE 30 synthetic in the mower and snowblower,

10w30 in my 07 FE350!

I can see how you may have gotten it confused!
BUT... my cart owners manual DOES call for straight weight for a minimal range of temperatures, 10w30 for a wider range, 10w40... even wider!
