Why not keep them stock and just add a pair of off road PIA's or something else?

I have trimmed the bulb housing to get different bulbs to fit, works fine. I have even boosted the wattage without any heat issues, but sometimes they were not brighter so do one and compare. Sorry have no idea what # any of the bulb swaps were. I do know I went from 55 watt to 100 watt then back to 55 or so Silverstars, that ended up being the best.

Dont really want to add a set of extra lights, this is just a pit vehicle for the race track. Just would like some brighter like from the stock housings for running around in the pits at night.

Man I have these bulbs just laying around and id like to have a brighter light too in the stock location. Lemme see if I can put one of these bulbs in my cart and see what it looks like. Darn, I forgot to grab the harness plug when i pulled these bulbs from a truck I parted out.... If you do this, dont forget the harness plug as it costs about $10 from the auto parts store

Thats one of the things i'll be going to the junkyard for.

I'll be pulling the bulbs out of light housings and cutting the sockets off with the bulbs still in them

Running different bulbs isn't likely to produce more light since the vast majority are all 55w maximum and since your reflectors will be the same, so will be the spread pattern. Either go (as a previous poster suggested) with some aftermarket spot lamps or check out the web for some higher wattage bulbs. Be warned though, higher wattage = more heat which may impact your housings and will also cause a higher current draw necessitating the use of a relay.

I would think the bulbs would be too long to fit in the housing...

My bulb in my headlights are about as long as a car headlight replacement bulb. I think mine say stanley on them or the housing says it

My headlight bulb housing have nothing on them besides 4 or 5 numbers.

But they are also about the length of a normal automotive headlight/foglight
