Well all you need is gas, spark, cylinder compression and for a 2 cycle, crankcase pressure. Now you say you have a spark so clearly the ignition is working and the starter is cranking the engine. I guess we have to assume that it is nothing you did when changing the bracket. So why not mix up a little gasoil, remove the air intake and squirt it into the carburetor. Now crank it up and see if it tries to start. (Do not use starter fluid as it has no oil and will hurt your bottom end). If that doesn't help I would pull the line to the carburetor and crank the engine just to be sure that you are getting a good healthy pulse of fuel. You would not be the first person to have run out of fuel and spent days fault finding.
Us 2 strokers have about another 20 ideas for you but let's start there and let us know what happens. Dave |
