If nothing has been changed, rewired, or tinkered with I would say you need to check each microswitch and each solenoid thoroughly and ohm out each resistor in the bank like they are asking you to. There's just not much else there.

When you are getting 36 volts in forward and 18 volts in reverse at least that much is correct. At this point I would follow the power flow shown below and if nothing is wrong then I would tear down your whole solenoid-resistor bank and clean each connection, test with ohm meter for continuity and as others have said check each part out carefully. Have you made sure that all your wiring is as shown in diagram? What you are getting with only one speed ( HIGH OR NEAR HIGH ) you are bypassing all the resistors and solenoids that feed then step by step?
Power flow should be as follows for solenoids #A, #B,#C, #D,#E from drivers side to passenger side. Power flow through coil resistors #1 drivers side, #2 middle, #3 passenger side.
#1 Key on F&R in a gear, #A first solenoid clicks ( Drivers side ) feeds power to buss bar and one side of all other solenoids large posts.

#2 as pedal is depressed #B solenoid should click and power should go through #1 and #2, and #3 coil resistors ( High resistance low Speed )

#3 as pedal goes further #C solenoid should click and power should be going through #2 and #3 Resistor ( less resistance higher speed )

#4 as pedal goes further #D solenoid should click and power should be going through #3 Resistor only ( less resistance more speed )

#5 as pedal gets near floor #E solenoid should clicks and power should be going direct to 6 guage wire feeding motor and bypassing all resistors. HIGH SPEED.

I would have some one push pedal while you confirm that solenoids at least click in the order above to get you started right, then its follow the flow of solenoids and resistors to high speed. I hope this will get you running correctly.

So have U also tried swapping the first and last micro switch to insure it is not stuck closed ?

its has a 1/2 speed reverse thats why 18 volts....thats normal, try jacking the rear of the cart up and than slowly press pedal as you liston to and watch wheels...........your wheels should start spinning at the 2nd loud click of soleniod abnd spin faster as you hear other solenoids click, if you only have high speed and the wiring is right its either a solenoid or maybe two or a micro switch......so get the rear wheels off the ground and try it...............

Thanks to everyone for the directions and advice,did it all many times,everything tests, ohms,clicks,changed all bolts and nuts.You name it Ive done it.Still runs in hi,think im begining to not care or just getting frustrated.But you guys are great and thanks again

I finally went back to working on the cart iput all new selonoids and guess what it still runs in high only this is very strange any one could there b something wrong with the motor everything else is new or checks good

if its in the motor thatys a brand new one thats all i can say i have never heatrd of one with just high speed but that dosn,t mean it can,t happen......you wouldn,t happen to have a motor you can swap out and try would you?.....................................
