I have never seen a motor cause a problem like yours? I really feel you have at least one wire some where wrong because otherwise as I layed out sequence of solenoid operation and ANDY643 diagram all wiring on power side should be good? I would recheck the sequence of solenoids clicking as it still sounds like #5 ( passenger side ) is closed whenever cart is engaged? Maybe one of your micro speed switch is bad, wired wrong or the speed switch slide assembly could be the problem? To confirm if wiring or solenoid is problem, unhook #5 solenoid control wire so it should not close. Its shown in STICKIES diagram for 1981-1985 Electric Club Car Wiring Diagram as #15 wire.

this is reall odd if all soleniods are in fact working, i thought about the slide also but if your getting your soleniod clicks in order than all micro,s and slide should be ok......if slide were bad it would have to jump past 3 soleniods to get to high speed.........something is not right here and if it were me i would put the meter away and start the old fashioned way...................
