Default 12v accessories

I have a Club Car 2006 year Presidence and have lights on it from the factory and know there must be a voltage reducer but where is it? I would like to put in a buss bar to add other accessories like a radio and other stuff on the 12v volt side of the reducer. Any help would be greatly appreciated The Cajun

I know on the older model ds carts, like 02, there is an reducer located on driverside frame rail, about 6" long with a black wire coming out each end.

Are you sure about this? I know the precedents have them but I was under the impression DS carts did not. I have checked the wiring diagrams and don't see it mentioned either.

Not trying to question you just wondering.

You are indeed correct. Just checked the voltage on it. Nice to know. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, they are 26 or 28 amp continuous, on a 48 volt cart using 8 volt batts.

After learning something new about the DS carts you should have something very similar. In your battery compartment look for the black wire coming out of the reducer to a spade connector mounted near the charging plug in. This will be your acc ground location. On the DS battery 5's postive post is the 12 volt acc positive connection.

You'll need to use a voltage meter to determe which battery in your car is the acc positive and connect your bus bar to it.

Put the voltage meter negative lead on the spade connector, positive voltage meter lead on each positive battery post until your meter reads 14.x volts. This will identify which battery to connect your bus bar.
