Default DCS Unique F/R switch

Have a 95 DCS brought to me. It's got a unique forward and reverse switch. The owner put new batteries in it, and the wires fell off of the F/R switch, so he brought it to me, I have it working but I see NO way with this switch to have a nuetral.

The switch is simply two micro switches, when in the middle, neither are activated so you have neutral. Now on a DCS cart, only one switch is active when in forward, but in reverse both switches are active. The issue is there is no way with this setup to have both switches active at once for a functioning reverse, so I have to run a jumper so the yellow harness wire has power, the issue is, this basically bypasses any neutral. I've looked at this for a couple of hours and just think it can not be done with this particular switch, the guy says he had an actual neutral before but I just can't see how he did with out the introduction of additional relays or something...

When looking at this.. The Orange/Red wire and the red wire from the harness are tied together on the top left as indicated in the schematics. The yellow wire on the other side of the switch goes to the solenoid. In order to activate reverse you would keep power on all of those wires and supply power to the orange wire as well. But with this setup it just does not work.

Am I missing something?

Not too familiar with the DCS direction circuit, but that switch came off of a control panel to some BIG equipment.

I have only seen 2 of those switches. They were a first year, some say first 6 months run in production and no more... the ones that I saw had a diode across the 2 bottom terminals..... Don't ask me which way it went, I think if somebody knows.... like PGGROVES, would that fix your problem?

Yep that is the ticket. Remove the black jumper and put a diode on the bottom so that voltage flows from the orange to the yellow when in reverse, i should have a working neutral then.

What kind of Ezgo Factory tech hates a DCS? Nevermind ...... If you're gonna hate a cart pick on a AMF electric Harley or a Tomberlin I have to go see one of those in the morning..... not looking forward to that one.

The kind that has had to work on them FAR too often and knows just how sensitive the electronics on them are......

I feel for you on the Harley, but the Tomberline shouldn't be too bad.......
