Default Another Craigslist oops.

Bought a 1996 EZGO off craigslist and it drove ok. Has the 5" lift. Decent paint. Got it home where I have lots of hills and it just plain crawls up those hills like a deer that just got hit by a car. Downhill isn't even all that fast either. A buddy of mine brought over his load tester and ALL SIX batteries are in the weak area. I went out and bought 6 new batteries and it runs better but it just drags uphill. My last cart was a Clubcar with an all aluminum frame and it was fast as heck even uphill. Is my motor too weak. Frame heavy. Any thoughts on this loss of uphill power?

hope you charged those batts. at least overnight before you used them. there is a proper procedure to brak them in. also, if you have the original cables, you should change them out for at least 4ga. ones. this made a seat of the pants difference on mine. be sure to replace all 13 cables. that's a good cart and with a bit of tweaking it will run fine. is is a series or dcs cart? the dcs will have a toggle switch on top of the controller.

I think it's a series as I have not yet removed the controller cover to inspect. I did charge them overnight. Runs fine on level road but uphill she is noticeably slower than my last 36v cart.
