If you get the OEM style light kit, it will include a blue wire with spade connectors on it with an in-line fuse. It will have instructions on where to hook that up. One end goes to the blue wire on battery 4 and that's your 12v power source. I believe the ground is already hooked up. That connection will put power to the harness connector behind the dash that the light kit hooks into. Once you have all that hooked up, you have 12v source within the wiring behind the dash. I tapped into that same wiring to power my stereo. But my head unit has a little fuse built into it, plugged into the back next to where the power wire goes in. If yours doesn't have that, I'd advise putting a fuse between wherever you tap into the 12v and the head unit power.

All that said, I ran mine that way for a while and was not happy with the performance of running lights and radio off of one of my batteries. My lights would get dim and go out soon after and the radio would usually bite the dust before the lights did. I also had issues where, when we hit the accelerator, the lights would dim and/or the radio power would cut off and we'd have to turn it back on. So, I left the wiring behind the dash and to the controller area in place and then ran a separate 12v battery to that wiring. That consisted of removing the blue wire from the 4th battery and wiring it to the + post on my new battery instead and finding the ground wire in the controller area and wiring that to the - post on my new battery. I just can't remember some of the wires without looking. I do remember the ground wire at the controller area was a yellow wire with a bullet connector on it.

So you put a extra battery in ? If you did where?
