I would imagine you could purchase a charger that is better than what the OBC/CC charger has to offer. I'll do some investigating.....

There are 3 precedents that I know for a fact have radios installed and they have no problems. I believe his issue is connected to something else. The OBC doesn't transmit radio signals, so that should not even be a factor. I think he should take it out (OBC) and then give it a try.

The tech said the problem is not inherent in the Precedents...only the DS series from 2002 thru 2006.

What about plugging a smart phone into the aux jack and running tunein app
Crystal clear radio from anywhere as long as you have a good cell signal. with no pesky radio signals to worry about. Thats what I intend to do in my cart when I get around to it. I'm not even going to put a radio in just an aux jack in the dash.

How will you power the speakers?

That's almost exactly what I have been doing....I got some nice MP3 speakers from Phillips, and plugged it into my smartphone tuned into Pandora and it worked fine.

But we also wanted live programming and the music I like, cannot really be found in Pandora or Slacker.
