g1 spark plug homemade puller
I have a g1. I'm going to change crank seals. I have read that you can use a homemade tool to remove clutch. It says use a 14mm sparkplug welded to a bolt. What car would use this plug?

Re: g1 spark plug homemade puller
A steering wheel puller with 3 holes, shaped like a Y will pull the flywheel off to get at the other seal. When you take the stator off mark where it was before you remove the 3 screws. Once you get started it will make sense.

Re: g1 spark plug homemade puller
The trouble with the spark plug is finding one with 14mm X 1.0 pitch on the threads. Those are very fine threads. I made a puller using a spark plug, and here is the link to my thread.

Re: g1 spark plug homemade puller
If you bought a spark plug at HOME DEPOT then it was a lawnmower type plug, not an automotive plug,, or a marine engine plug. Thats why you had trouble with the thread pitch. Do not destroy the threads in the clutch, there is no need to.
