+ of battery to horn switch then from the other terminal of switch to horn. Then run the other terminal of horn back to the battery ground.

Thanks Andy4639...I got a schematic from "Rusty" saying the same thing...You guys are great! I just joined BGW the other day and this is GREAT...I'm sure I'll be on here again...Just starting to "fix up" my cart..

If you have a volt ohm meter you can easily check the switch for proper operation..., and save youself some gas.
What kind of horn are you installing? Something off the shelf auto type, or is it a custom setup? Does it have two wires, or does it require chassi gnd to complete the circuit? |

Just wanted to let everyone know, that I finally got the horn to work last night. Drove around the "hood" last night letting my neighbors hear it! I'm sure they appreciated it...THANKS for all your input during my debacle!!!

EUREKA! I was finally successful getting this horn to work! Last night, I drove around the "hood" allowing the neighbors to hear my success! They seemed to be very excited about it...Ha! Anyway..I appreciate everyone's input regagrding my horn debacle!! This board is extremely helpful for us new guys!

could someone tell me how to hook a 12 volt horn on a 36 volt ezgo system? I understand that I need to draw power from two batteries?. Am I correct? The old horn died and it was wired to only one battery. Was this the reason that it died. I just purchased cart this week. It is 1995 medalist. Thanks

this should help you find 12 volts, use your meter to make sure you found 12 volts before you hook up any wires, - (fig D) - will be your cart |

yes you need 2 - 6 volt batteries to make 12 volts....
