New rings break in period.

Howdy all,

Just put new rings in my cart and I'm wondering how long they should take to seat? I checked the compression right after rebuild, and about a half tank of gas later, and it's still at 145PSI.

Friend of mine thinks it will take quite a few hours, but with any other engines I've rebuilt, they broke in very fast.

The engine is performing flawlessly, and not consuming oil so I'm not concerned, just curious.

I think I remember someone saying 20-25 hours.
