Default Yamaha Charger on Ezgo?

Need a 48v charger quick and there is a newer yamaha charger on Craigslist, is it as simple as changing the plug out? Or is there more to it?

Anyone? Come on Scotty, Johnnyb, or Terryh? I bought 6 brand new Trojan t875's Friday and my charger went out. So they are sitting there at 70% SOC. I need to know if this charger will work so I can go pick it up. I'm afraid it hurting the batteries just sitting there

I don't know if an automatic charger for a Yamaha senses pack voltage like a charger for a EZGO does, so you might have to do some creative wiring, but like MOOSE said, 48V is 48V.

If your current 48V charger is the Ferroresonant Transformer type, you can temporarily bypass the relay inside it and charge the batteries manually.

It'll work, I converted my EZGO to 48v and used a Yamaha MAC charger for a while, till I replaced it with a DPI charger.
