Re: G1 refuses to fire up without choke
Ok, lucky I didnt light the match yet.
I pulled the carby back off and rechecked for any blockages, nothing visible. Rewashed with fuel and blow dried with a compressor. While I was at it I blew air through the fuel line just in case of any muk in line. On the top/back section of the cylinder head is a square black plastic filter of some sort which I also cleaned of a little oil around the top of the carby inlet hole. ( a breather or something, not sure ). Thinking I was finished around this area, I assembled it back together thinking I would go ahead with the crankcase seals next. I thought I would just try to see if I made any difference before moving on and what do you know..........the bloody thing fired over ! Although its just a motor and frame on blocks at present, it seems to be running quite good. Dont know what actual part was at fault, but obviously somewhere in the fuel area. While I have it apart, I intend on modding the governor. Thanks heaps for the input of help guys, much appreciated. |

Re: G1 refuses to fire up without choke
Glad you were able to get it going without having to dismantle everything.
