Re: '79 G1 Project - Before & After Pic's
I fab'd all of the diamond plate. I picked up a 2 x 4 foot piece at Lowes and it was enough to do the rockers, kick plate and the dash, with still some left over. The kick plate and dash piece were easy to fab (Just trace and cut), but the rockers were a pain. Since I don't have metal break I bent it 5" at a time on my bench top vice and used a baby sledge to straighten it out in spots. It just has a few slight waves. Not the recommended way of bending it, but it worked and looks pretty good. :)

I have to say...FANTASTIC job Can you still get the seats like in the front? Man they would look cool faceing rearward too.

Re: '79 G1 Project - Before & After Pic's
Thanks SmallBlock! Believe it or not, the front seats are from my 1998 Javeline Bass Boat. I agree with you, they would look great on the back. I make my own seat covers so I'll match the front seat design and coloring and will replicate it on the rear bench seat.

Yep, I missed it too and I try to read all the posts on G1's. Cart looks great!!!, love that color, used to have a bike about that same color, it was called Oriental Blue. I'm in the process of building a "roll cage" for mine also

Re: '79 G1 Project - Before & After Pic's
Thanks Guys! I'll post photos as I fabricate the rollbar/roof. I've gone through many different designs in my head so I don't know what I'll come up with just yet. :) I'll keep you posted.
